Triaxial Sping Testing Machine FED 400

The spring testing machine is designed for forces up to 400 kN (600 kN are possible on request) and has an accuracy class of 0.5, allowing the quasi-static testing of coils springs

The machine, equipped with the specified force capacity, measuring sensors and programmable digital control, provides the basis for automatic test cycles and their evaluation:

in direction of the longitudinal axis of the spring

in all transverse directions

Among the tests that can be performed are:

tests of the axial spring travel

short-time elasticity testing of the force and direction deflection

tests of the transverse spring constant

The standard version of the machine is designed for coil springs with weight of 200kg, height of 1200mm, and a spring outer diameter of 650mm.

The ends of the spring can be moved in laterally in any direction in any direction up to 200mm. Lateral forces up to 150 kN are transmitted and measured. All parameters can be adapted to specific customer requirements.

Standards like EN 13298:2003 which specify the testing of helical compression springs in the railway industry are fully supported by the triaxial test platform. The new requirement introduced in these standards is measurement of the bending direction as well as the transverse spring rate.
